Rise Against Suicide is a Lafayette, Colorado nonprofit that funds mental health therapy for uninsured and underinsured youth at risk of suicide. Founded in 2009 as the Second Wind Fund of Boulder County, the organization connects young people in the Boulder Valley and St. Vrain Valley school districts with qualified private therapists, often within hours of a referral. The model removes two of the biggest barriers to care, cost and wait times, and today supports more than 500 youth annually with roughly 5,000 therapy sessions across Boulder, Longmont, and surrounding communities. Rise Against Suicide is a member of the Colorado LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce and welcomes LGBTQ+ youth and families among the people it serves in the Boulder County area.
