Cattivella is a wood-fired Italian restaurant at 10195 E 29th Drive in Denver’s Stapleton (Central Park) neighborhood, opened by chef and owner Elise Wiggins. The name translates roughly to “naughty girl,” and the menu is built around handmade pastas, Napoletana-style pizza, and dishes cooked over a wood-burning pizza oven and grill, all visible from an exhibition kitchen at the center of the dining room. Wiggins travels to Italy each year to work alongside Italian chefs and refine classic techniques, and the restaurant has been named Best Italian by Westword and recognized by The Denver Post, 5280, the American Culinary Federation, and AAA. A private dining room seats up to 50 for events. As a member of the Colorado LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce, Cattivella serves the LGBTQ+ business community in Denver.
