The Center on Colfax is Denver’s LGBTQ+ community institution — the largest LGBTQ+ community center in the Rocky Mountain region, founded in 1976 and located at 1301 East Colfax Avenue in Capitol Hill. The Center has grown to become the largest LGBTQ+ community center in the Rocky Mountain region, giving voice to Colorado’s LGBTQ+ community and playing a pivotal role in statewide initiatives to reduce harassment and discrimination. Colgbtqcc Programs include Rainbow Alley for LGBTQ+ youth, SAGE of the Rockies for elders, RANGE Consulting for organizational DEI training, the Colorado LGBTQ History Project, Denver PrideFest (Colorado’s largest LGBTQ+ parade and festival), HIV/STI screenings, peer support groups, and much more. The Center is a member of the Colorado LGBTQ Chamber of Commerce and is one of the most foundational organizations in Denver’s LGBTQ+ ecosystem.
